Indian Street Animal Clinic is proud to be family-owned and operated, serving the communities of Stuart, Palm City, Hobe Sound, Jensen Beach, and Port Saint Lucie since 2008. We’re glad you’re here!

Hobe Sound Veterinary Clinic
Most pet owners in the Treasure Coast have experienced the frustration of feeling rushed through appointments, leaving with more questions than answers about their pet care needs. Indian Street Animal Clinic breaks that pattern. Since opening in 2008, we’ve built our reputation as a trusted Hobe Sound veterinary clinic on something simple yet increasingly rare: taking the time to truly understand what’s happening with your companion.
Dr. Gary Zinderman brings both conventional medical training and Eastern healing certifications to every case, which means you’ll have access to treatment options that most veterinary hospitals simply can’t provide.. When you walk through our doors, you’re not just another scheduled slot—you’re joining a community where your observations and medical records matter as much as our diagnostics.
Our Mission
Veterinary medicine shouldn’t feel like a mystery where doctors make pronouncements and pet owners nod along without really understanding the medical advice they’re receiving. Dr. Gary Zinderman established our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic on a different philosophy: real healing happens when medical expertise meets honest collaboration. At Indian Street Animal Clinic, we explain what tests reveal, walk you through various treatment possibilities, and respect that you’re the expert on your animal’s normal behavior patterns.
Some conditions respond beautifully to standard treatments at our veterinary hospital. Others need a broader strategy that addresses underlying imbalances conventional medicine might miss. We’re equally comfortable with both, and we let your pet’s individual situation guide our recommendations rather than forcing every case into the same protocols.

Why Choose Us
Looking for superior
veterinary care?
If you’re the type of pet parent who only wants the best for your furry family members, you’ve found your place at Indian Street Animal Clinic. In addition to comprehensive general care for every phase of your pet’s life, we have a special interest in dentistry and dermatology. We also incorporate Eastern treatments like acupuncture, nutritional therapy, and Chinese herbal remedies to help our patients regain their balance and have the energy to heal themselves from the ground up. Our integrative approach ensures your pet will receive the most complete, customized care possible.

Meet the Doctor
Before Dr. Gary Zinderman ever considered veterinary medicine, he was competing professionally as a standardbred horse trainer and driver. That decade taught him to read subtle behavioral signals, spot emerging lameness before it became obvious, and understand how movement patterns reveal underlying problems. He eventually pursued his undergraduate degree in Biological Science at Florida Atlantic University before earning his veterinary doctorate from the University of Florida, where he received special recognition for orthopedic expertise.
Rather than stopping there, he sought additional certification in veterinary acupuncture to expand what he could offer patients at our veterinary hospital. His wife Melissa handles practice operations alongside our team, creating an environment at our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic where pets receive unhurried attention and owners get complete medical advice instead of rushed summaries. We maintain detailed medical records for every patient to ensure continuity of care.
Our veterinarian in Stuart FL treats pets like the family members they are!
Real pet care requires more than technical competence. It demands practitioners who view your companion as an individual with unique needs rather than a generic case to process. Dr. Gary Zinderman and everyone at our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic treat medicine as both science and relationship, combining diagnostic precision with genuine investment in positive outcomes.

Wellness Plans
Regular vet visits help protect your pet from diseases and catch health problems early. Our wellness plans include twice-yearly checkups, vaccinations, blood work, and parasite testing all organized into one simple program. Members at our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic get unlimited visits plus discounts on flea prevention, spay/neuter surgery, and dental cleanings.
We offer different plans based on your pet’s age because puppies, adults, and seniors have different health needs. Young pets get frequent checkups and their vaccination series, while older pets receive more detailed testing. Indian Street Animal Clinic’s senior plans include thyroid checks, urine tests, blood pressure monitoring, and X-rays reviewed by specialist veterinarians.

In-House Laboratory
Quick diagnostic testing helps us understand what’s wrong with your pet and start helping them feel better right away. We run blood panels, urine tests, stool checks, and disease screenings directly at our facility rather than shipping samples out. Indian Street Animal Clinic provides results the same day, which means we can explain your pet’s condition and begin their treatment plan during your appointment.
Our equipment checks kidney and liver health, measures blood cell counts, detects heartworms, and identifies infections like feline leukemia or canine parvovirus. We also perform safety screenings before any surgical procedures at our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic. When your pet needs specialized testing we can’t do here, we send samples to partner laboratories that give us detailed information to guide their care.

Dentistry
Your pet’s teeth need the same attention yours do, yet many animals suffer without showing obvious pain. Plaque and bacteria accumulate daily, creating conditions where gums become inflamed and teeth loosen over time. Our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic checks your pet’s mouth during wellness appointments to spot trouble while it’s still manageable with proper cleaning.
Signs like reluctance to eat hard food, pawing at their face, or persistent bad odor from their mouth tell us something’s wrong. Indian Street Animal Clinic removes stubborn deposits and treats infected areas before they worsen. Good dentistry habits prevent bacteria from traveling through your pet’s body to organs like their heart and kidneys, where infections can become life-threatening.

Surgical Services
When your pet needs an operation, choosing the right facility matters for their safety and recovery. We handle spay and neuter procedures that prevent reproduction while offering long-term health advantages. Indian Street Animal Clinic also performs soft tissue operations for lumps, injuries, and conditions affecting organs or muscles beneath the skin.
Cryosurgery allows us to treat certain growths by freezing abnormal cells with precise temperature control. Before any surgical services begin, we evaluate your pet’s overall health and watch them closely during the entire process. Our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic prioritizes gentle handling and effective pain management so your companion heals comfortably at home.

Integrative and Holistic Services
Sometimes standard treatments work better when paired with natural therapies that help your pet’s body heal itself. Our Hobe Sound veterinary clinic combines Eastern and Western approaches using acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and laser therapy. These integrative and holistic services help with arthritis, ongoing pain, healing after surgery, and stomach problems by bringing your pet’s body back into balance.
Dr. Zinderman is trained in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and uses methods that have worked for thousands of years. Acupuncture uses tiny needles at specific spots to help energy flow better, while laser therapy speeds up healing and eases swelling without medicines. Indian Street Animal Clinic creates personalized treatment plans for each pet, offering gentle care options that work alongside regular veterinary medicine for the best results.
